Large F1.2 Aperture

The F1.2 maximum aperture provides a high level of light-gathering capability for working in low-light conditions while also giving photographers extensive control over depth of field. With the aperture fully open, subjects can be separated from the background while retaining the characteristic perspective of a 35mm lens. The 11-blade diaphragm is designed to produce smooth background rendering and rounded out-of-focus highlights, making the lens useful for portraits, nighttime scenes, available-light photography, and compositions where background separation is an important part of the image.

The lens features two customizable Fn buttons, an AF/MF switch, a multifunction control ring, and a CLICK switch that allows the aperture operation to be changed between stepped and stepless adjustment. The integrated color display provides real-time information such as aperture and focus parameters, while additional configuration options are available through the Viltrox Lens App. A USB-C port is also provided for firmware updates, allowing the lens to receive future performance and compatibility improvements.

The lens uses an aerospace-grade full-metal body designed for demanding professional use. A high-grade sealing structure provides resistance to dust and splashes, while the front optical element receives a water- and stain-resistant coating to help maintain clear imaging in changing outdoor conditions.
