The Essence of the Classic 85mm

The VILTROX AF 85mm F2.0 EVO brings the timeless 85mm portrait perspective into a remarkably compact and refined package. Designed for full-frame cameras, it combines flattering proportions, beautiful subject separation and impressive optical clarity with the portability demanded by modern creators.

F2.0 — Light and Beautiful Separation

The bright F2.0 aperture provides excellent control over depth of field while maintaining a compact lens profile. It allows subjects to stand naturally apart from the background, creating smooth blur and an elegant sense of dimensionality in portraits, lifestyle photography and creative compositions.

10 Elements in 8 Groups

The optical design consists of 10 elements in 8 groups, including two ED elements and two high-refractive-index elements. This carefully engineered construction helps control chromatic aberration and distortion while maintaining strong contrast, clarity and detailed rendering.

Sharpness with Character

The lens delivers impressive sharpness even at the maximum F2.0 aperture, while retaining a smooth and natural rendering style. Fine textures, skin detail and subtle tonal transitions remain clearly defined, giving images a polished appearance without sacrificing visual softness.

Smooth 9-Blade Bokeh

The 9-blade aperture creates attractive, rounded out-of-focus highlights and smooth transitions between the subject and background. The result is a refined portrait aesthetic that draws attention naturally toward the subject.

Fast and Quiet STM Autofocus

An STM focusing motor provides fast, accurate and quiet autofocus, with stable face and eye detection support. Internal focusing helps keep operation smooth and controlled, making the lens equally comfortable for photography and video.

Close Focus for Greater Expression

With a minimum focusing distance of 0.74 m and maximum magnification of 0.13×, the lens offers useful flexibility for portraits, details and close compositions. The 85mm perspective remains flattering while allowing creators to move closer when the story demands it.

Professional Controls in a Compact Body

The EVO design brings advanced handling into a surprisingly small package. A dedicated aperture ring can be switched between clicked and de-clicked operation, while an AF/MF switch and customizable function button provide direct control over the shooting process.

Built for Everyday Mobility

At approximately 340 g and measuring around 69 × 76 mm, the lens is exceptionally easy to carry. It delivers the familiar creative advantages of an 85mm prime without becoming a burden in a travel or everyday camera kit.

Ready for the Long Run

A metal mount with basic dust and moisture protection adds confidence for everyday outdoor use, while the 58mm filter thread and USB-C firmware update port provide practical compatibility with a modern workflow.

The EVO Portrait Philosophy

The VILTROX AF 85mm F2.0 EVO is a beautifully balanced interpretation of the classic portrait lens: compact, capable and deliberately refined. With its flattering 85mm perspective, bright F2.0 aperture, smooth bokeh, fast STM autofocus and sophisticated controls, it is built for creators who want professional visual character without unnecessary bulk.
