Clear four-level LED indicator

The battery incorporates four LED indicators that display remaining capacity at 20%, 40%, 60% and 80% levels. This provides a quick visual reference when the battery is removed from the camera or when checking equipment before a shoot. The indicator is useful for managing spare batteries and deciding when a battery should be charged or replaced during a production day.

The BP-U70 has a nominal voltage of 14.4 V DC and a maximum voltage of 16.4 V DC. When charged using a compatible Sony BC-U1A or BC-U2A charger, the approximate charging time is 150 minutes. Charging time can vary depending on the charger, battery condition and operating temperature, so the specified value should be treated as a reference rather than a guaranteed time in every situation.
