Improved Grip for Sony ZV-E10

The SmallRig SR 3523 Extension Grip is designed specifically for the Sony ZV-E10 mirrorless camera to improve handling and provide a more comfortable grip during photography and video recording. Its extended shape creates additional support for the little finger, which can be especially useful when holding the camera for long periods or operating it with one hand. The grip follows the camera’s contours to maintain a compact setup without adding unnecessary bulk.

Lightweight Aluminium Construction

The extension grip is made from aluminium alloy, combining a rigid structure with a low overall weight. Measuring approximately 116 × 49 × 11.5 mm and weighing around 50 g, it adds minimal size and weight to the camera. This makes it suitable for compact everyday setups, travel photography, vlogging and handheld video work where portability remains important.

Secure Tool-Free Installation

The grip attaches to the camera using an integrated 1/4"-20 D-ring screw, allowing installation and removal without a separate tool. Once tightened, the mounting system helps keep the grip securely positioned during normal use. Its fitted design provides a stable connection while maintaining access to the camera’s essential controls and functions.

Integrated Arca-Type Quick-Release Plate

An Arca-type quick-release plate is built into the bottom of the grip, allowing compatible tripod heads and supports to be used without adding a separate plate. This design makes it easier to move the camera between handheld operation and tripod-based shooting. The integrated plate also helps keep the overall setup compact and reduces the number of separate components required.

Additional Mounting Options

The underside includes multiple 1/4"-20 threaded mounting holes for compatible accessories and support systems. A separate 1/4"-20 threaded hole on the right side allows the camera to be mounted vertically on a compatible tripod. This arrangement supports different shooting orientations while helping preserve access to the camera’s flip-out screen and connectors.

Cold Shoe for Accessories

A cold shoe mount on the underside provides an attachment point for compatible accessories, such as a compact microphone or LED light. Its position is designed to allow use alongside an Arca-type tripod setup, depending on the dimensions of the attached equipment. This can help keep a lightweight vlogging or video setup organized without requiring a larger camera cage.

Battery Access and Compatibility

The grip is designed for the Sony ZV-E10 and incorporates a hinged battery-door mechanism with an opening lever, allowing the battery compartment to be accessed during normal use. For vertical tripod mounting, the maximum recommended load is 1.5 kg, and the battery door cannot be used in that configuration. The package includes one SmallRig SR 3523 extension grip.
