Camera cage for Sony ZV-E10

The SmallRig 3531 Camera Cage is a lightweight aluminium accessory designed specifically for the Sony ZV-E10 mirrorless camera. It surrounds the camera body with a protective frame while providing multiple mounting points for accessories used in photography, vlogging and video production. The cage helps expand the camera’s functionality without significantly increasing its overall size, making it suitable for handheld shooting, tripod use and compact content-creation setups.

Camera protection and precise fit

The cage is shaped to match the Sony ZV-E10 body and includes protective rubber padding on the contact surfaces to help prevent scratches. Its design preserves access to the camera’s main controls, ports, battery compartment, memory card slot and articulating screen. This allows the camera to remain practical to operate while installed in the cage. The accessory is intended for the Sony ZV-E10 and should not be assumed to fit other camera models.

Secure anti-twist mounting system

The camera attaches to the cage using a 1/4"-20 mounting screw, with an additional side locking mechanism that helps prevent unwanted rotation or movement. The detachable side lock provides extra stability during operation, particularly when accessories are attached or the camera is moved between different shooting positions. The mounting design creates a secure base for building a compact rig while keeping the camera firmly positioned within the frame.

Versatile accessory mounting points

Multiple 1/4"-20 threaded holes and ARRI-style 3/8"-16 locating holes provide attachment options for compatible handles, monitor mounts, articulating arms and other rigging accessories. These mounting points allow users to configure the camera for different production requirements, from lightweight vlogging to more advanced video setups. The locating holes help compatible accessories resist twisting, improving stability when equipment is mounted to the cage.

Integrated cold shoe mounts

The cage includes cold shoe mounting points on the top and bottom, allowing compatible accessories such as microphones and compact LED lights to be attached directly. This arrangement is useful for building a practical vlogging setup without requiring a separate mounting bracket for every accessory. The available mounting positions can help keep equipment organised around the camera, although the suitability of each configuration depends on accessory dimensions and clearance.

Arca-type quick-release plate

The integrated Arca-type plate on the bottom allows the cage to attach directly to compatible Arca-style tripod heads and support systems. It also supports convenient transitions between handheld shooting, tripod work and compatible stabiliser setups. The bottom includes additional threaded mounting points, including compatibility with the upper quick-release plate used by DJI RS 2 and RSC 2 stabilisers. Compatibility depends on the mounting system and the complete rig configuration.

Compact construction and practical handling

The cage measures approximately 128.9 × 82.8 × 46.7 mm and weighs around 105 g, with a stated tolerance of ±5 g. Its construction uses aluminium alloy and stainless steel, combining a rigid mounting frame with a low overall weight. The package typically includes the cage, side lock, M2.5 screw and Allen wrench. The camera and separately sold accessories are not included. The SmallRig 3531 is intended to provide additional protection and accessory flexibility while preserving the portability of the Sony ZV-E10.
