Built to Follow the Action Wherever It Goes

The GODOX WL8P is a compact waterproof LED light created for photography, video production, travel, outdoor shooting, vlogging, and underwater work. Its rugged construction and IP68 protection allow it to be used in environments where conventional compact lights would be considerably more limited.

Small Dimensions, Serious Practicality

Measuring approximately 11 × 5.7 × 3.25 cm and weighing around 263 g, the WL8P is easy to incorporate into a mobile production kit. Its compact format makes it convenient for camera rigs, tabletop setups, travel, and situations where carrying a larger light simply does not make sense.

Ready for Water and Difficult Conditions

The IP68 rating is one of the defining characteristics of the WL8P, with protection designed for underwater use down to 10 metres. This opens up possibilities for underwater filming, waterside content, rainy-weather production, and creative shots where water is an intentional part of the scene.

Colour That Stays Natural

The 160 LED beads provide adjustable brightness from 0% to 100%, while CRI 96+ and TLCI 97+ ratings support accurate and natural colour reproduction. The 2700K–8500K colour temperature range also allows the WL8P to move between warm atmospheric light and cool daylight tones, making it useful beyond specialist underwater applications.

Creative Effects in a Pocket-Sized Format

The WL8P includes eight built-in special light effects, each offering multiple modes for creating more dynamic illumination. These effects can add visual movement to video, simulate different lighting situations, or simply introduce another creative layer without requiring a separate effects fixture.

Wireless Control Without Complication

Through the Godox Light application, brightness, colour temperature, and lighting effects can be adjusted remotely. Bluetooth control works at distances of up to approximately 10 metres on land, which is particularly useful when the light is mounted in a difficult-to-reach position or used as part of a more complex setup.

A Compact Light Designed for Unusual Places

The built-in 2900mAh lithium battery provides at least one hour of operation at full brightness, while USB-C charging keeps the power system convenient for mobile use. With its waterproof construction, adjustable colour, high colour fidelity, built-in effects, and compact dimensions, the GODOX WL8P is a distinctive lighting tool for creators who want to take controlled illumination far beyond the usual studio environment.
