Sony ACC-TRDCX

A Convenient Battery and Charger Kit

The Sony ACC-TRDCX is a compact accessory kit designed to provide a compatible Sony camera with an additional rechargeable battery and a dedicated external charger. It is particularly useful for travel, everyday photography, and longer shooting sessions when access to a power source may be limited. By allowing one battery to charge separately from the camera, the kit helps keep the camera available for use while preparing a spare battery.

NP-BX1 Rechargeable Battery

The kit includes one Sony NP-BX1 lithium-ion rechargeable battery, designed for compatible Cyber-shot cameras, selected Sony action cameras, and certain camcorders. Keeping a spare battery available helps extend shooting time without requiring the camera to be connected to a charger. Battery compatibility should be checked against the exact camera model, as not all Sony cameras use the NP-BX1 battery type.

BC-TRX External Battery Charger

The included BC-TRX charger is designed to charge compatible Sony batteries outside the camera. This allows users to continue photographing or recording with another battery while the spare is charging. The charger's compact construction makes it suitable for home use as well as packing into a travel kit, providing a dedicated charging solution for compatible batteries.

Flexible USB Charging Options

The charger can receive power through a Micro USB connection, allowing it to be used with compatible USB power sources. Depending on the available equipment, these may include a computer's USB port, a suitable USB AC adapter, or a car USB adapter. The required Micro USB cable and power adapter may not be included, so the contents of the specific regional package should be checked before use.

Useful for Travel and Extended Shooting

The compact charger and spare battery are designed to simplify battery management when travelling or spending extended periods away from a conventional power outlet. A spare NP-BX1 battery can be kept ready for use while the other battery is charging, reducing interruptions during photography and video recording. The kit is especially practical for users who rely on a compatible compact camera throughout the day.

Compact Design for Easy Packing

The ACC-TRDCX combines two essential power accessories in a small, travel-friendly package. Its charger takes up relatively little space in a camera bag, while the additional battery can be stored safely with other camera accessories. This makes the kit a convenient option for photographers who want backup power without carrying a larger charging station.

Compatibility and Kit Contents

The Sony ACC-TRDCX kit includes an NP-BX1 rechargeable battery and a compatible travel charger; the charger model supplied may vary by market and package version. Sony lists BC-TRX as the charger in some versions, while regional documentation may refer to BC-DCX or BC-DCX2. Before purchase, verify the included charger model, cable requirements, and compatibility with the intended camera. The kit is intended for compatible NP-BX1 batteries rather than Sony batteries of other sizes.
