Sony ACC-TRW

A Complete Battery and Charger Kit
The Sony ACC-TRW is a practical accessory kit designed for photographers who need an additional battery and a dedicated charger for compatible Sony cameras. It combines the NP-FW50 rechargeable lithium-ion battery with the BC-TRW battery charger, providing the essential components for keeping a spare battery ready for use. The kit is suitable for everyday photography, travel, and longer shooting sessions where access to a charged battery is important.

NP-FW50 Rechargeable Battery
The included Sony NP-FW50 is an InfoLITHIUM W-series battery with a nominal voltage of 7.2 V and a minimum capacity of 1020 mAh, equivalent to 7.3 Wh. It serves as an additional power source for compatible Sony cameras, allowing photographers to replace a depleted battery and continue working without waiting for the camera's internal charging process. Its compact design makes it easy to carry alongside other photographic equipment.

Dedicated BC-TRW Battery Charger
The kit includes the Sony BC-TRW charger, designed specifically for InfoLITHIUM W-series batteries such as the NP-FW50. The external charging design allows the battery to be charged separately from the camera, leaving the camera available for use with another compatible battery. The charger's dedicated battery interface provides a straightforward way to prepare a spare battery before a photo session or while travelling.

Detailed Charging Status Indication
The BC-TRW charger features an LED indicator that communicates the battery's charging status. This makes it easier to check the charging process at a glance without relying on the camera's display. The included NP-FW50 battery also supports Sony InfoLITHIUM technology, which enables compatible cameras to display remaining battery information.

Compact Design for Travel
Both components are designed to fit conveniently into a camera bag or travel case. The battery is small and lightweight, while the charger features a compact body and a retractable mains plug on applicable versions. This makes the kit useful for photographers who need a spare power source without carrying a larger charging system or additional accessories.

Wide-Ranging AC Power Compatibility
The BC-TRW charger supports an AC input of 100–240 V at 50/60 Hz, making it suitable for use in many countries with the appropriate plug adapter where required. Its rated output is 8.4 V DC at 400 mA. Before travelling, users should check the local outlet type and confirm that their specific charger version is suitable for the intended power supply.

Compatibility and Kit Contents
The Sony ACC-TRW package includes one NP-FW50 rechargeable battery, one BC-TRW battery charger, and printed documentation. It is intended for Sony cameras that use the NP-FW50 battery, including selected Alpha and NEX models. Compatibility should be confirmed against the camera's specifications before purchase. The BC-TRW is designed for W-series batteries and does not charge Sony V-, P-, or H-series batteries, nor nickel-cadmium or nickel-metal-hydride battery packs.
